Comercial Driver's License Requirements

Student must satisfactorily complete 180 hours with a minimum passing grade of 80% to gain a TN CDL.
The approximate time to complete the course is one hundred and eighty (180) hours of resident training consisting of classroom concourse, and behind the wheel (on the road) instruction. Full time cdl training consists of 18 days of resident (5 days per week,10 hours per day).
To obtain a TN CDL license or permit, you must successfully pass a DOT physical.
Ability to Benefit Test with a minimum passing score of 20 will be administered to all students participating in training.

Special Circumstances

If during the TN CDL resident training a leave of absence is necessary, it may be granted to the student by the TN CDL Director of the School for good cause upon written request. Termination If a student has not requested a leave of absence. student may be terminated if student is absent for 2 consecutive days (full time) and may result in loss of training and tuition. (Pro rated refund). Any (full time) student who is absent from class is required to make up the lost time on a Saturday or Sunday with Directors Authorization. Any student who is tardy more than 2 times during his/her 3 week training program for more than thirty minutes at any given time must make it up on a Saturday or Sunday.
